This project centered on the intentional manipulation and arrangement of typography and image to convey messages through a poster series. I was tasked with designing three posters that advertised the poetry reading "Elusive Echoes" featuring the work of Charmaine Lee, JJJerome Ellis, and Patti Smith, three poets who fuse music and the written word.

A lot of time was dedicated to experimentation and exploration when starting this project. These ideations combine printed type that was manipulated and additional effects using Photoshop.

I chose the direction that best incorporated elements of depth and movement, as this emulated the poets’ transformative and immersive performances. To ensure the series was cohesive, I kept the typeface and compositions consistent throughout and highlighted the poets’ unique characteristics through color.
