objective
The aim of this project was to create a series of six images that construct the form of a three-dimensional cube, each side transitioning seamlessly onto the next. When designing, I focused on creating visual systems that were consistent, cohesive and dynamic.
initial sketchesÂ
& ideation
I experimented with designing based on different axes, horizontal vertical and diagonal, then determined which worked best as a cube. To start, I did some sketches on paper before recreating them digitally in Illustrator.
iterations
I began iterating and refining a single side of the cube before moving onto the other five.
color studies
I then added color, experimenting with different color palettes derived from conventional color harmonies.
